Mission House: A homelike place for patients and families
Our hospice house, Mission House, offers professional, 24-hour hospice care and family support in a peaceful, homelike setting.
Our hospice house is designed for patients at the end of life who need intensive, round-the-clock symptom management that cannot be provided at home. We also offer short-term stays for patients whose caregivers need extra support. Patients typically stay in the hospice house a few weeks to a few months.
Mission House provides excellent care while reducing hospitalizations and offering family support. Centrally located in Redwood City, our hospice house is quiet, bright, and comfortable.
Welcoming for the whole family
The focus at Mission House is on family support and patient comfort. Friends and family members are always welcome and encouraged to visit and stay.
The common areas and lovely gardens allow loved ones to spend time together in a warm, private environment while our experienced medical staff and trained volunteers provide compassionate physical, emotional, and spiritual support for the entire family. For most patients, the cost of medical care is covered by insurance. Room and board is $475/day, and includes a private room and bath, all meals, personal assistance, housekeeping, and more.

By and for our community
Mission House was built and funded with support from our local community. Donations and grants help support patients who are unable to pay, and allow us to provide a level of medical care above and beyond what insurance will reimburse.
