Compassionate care and comfort when needed most

Mission Hospice helps patients and families live life to the fullest.

We are a local, independent nonprofit organization serving patients and families in the San Mateo County area with quality, compassionate end-of-life care and education.

Since our founding in 1979, we have provided more than 11,000 patients and their families with physical, emotional, and spiritual support throughout the journey from a life-threatening diagnosis through death and bereavement.

Most of our patients receive care in their own homes. We also care for people in assisted living, board and care, skilled nursing facilities, and elsewhere. Our hospice house offers a peaceful, homelike option for those at the very end of life whose symptoms cannot be managed at home.

Recognizing our commitment to providing the very best care, The Joint Commission awarded us the Gold Seal of Approval® for Home Care Accreditation, as well as Community-Based Palliative Care Certification.

Our nurses are available 24 hours/day. Call us at 650.554.1000 for help, or to learn more about our compassionate end-of-life care.
