Donor support helps Mission Hospice provide care, comfort, and services beyond traditional funding sources.
Donations help provide grief counseling, support groups, pediatric programs, community education, volunteer services, and other resources that improve quality of life for patients and families. Gifts also help ensure compassionate care remains accessible to people facing serious illness, loss, and life’s most difficult transitions.
While Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance cover portions of healthcare services, they do not fund many of the programs families rely on most. Grief support, community education, pediatric bereavement programs, volunteer services, and many other initiatives depend on charitable giving to remain available and accessible.
Donor support allows Mission Hospice to reach more people, develop innovative programs, reduce barriers to care, and provide services that extend beyond what insurance reimbursement alone can sustain. Every gift helps strengthen the network of support available throughout our communities.

The IRA QCD allows individuals age 70 ½ or older to make an outright gift of as much as $100,000 annually to Mission Hospice from a traditional, inherited, inactive SEP, or inactive SIMPLE IRA.
If you have a donor-advised fund (DAF), making gifts to Mission Hospice is easy. Donating appreciated, noncash assets through your DAF can be a tax-wise way to support us while eliminating capital gains taxes. Contact your DAF representative for more information.
