*VIRTUAL* Offering Meaningful Consolation: Deep listening for misunderstood losses

June 22, 2022 @ 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm

Virtual Event Virtual Event

So much grief goes unseen and unhealed because of life events that are not understood by us as losses. Then the griever feels misunderstood, creating a second loss for them—the loss of the support network they desperately need in order to heal. One of the many types of listening—deep listening—goes to the root of supporting a sad friend, and is a skill we can all learn.

Join author Dana Lacy Amarisa (Condolences Pocket Guide) for her kind, insightful, straightforward presentation on the three steps to Deep Listening, and for an experiential Q&A session with audience members who want coaching on how to listen deeply, or who have questions or comments about starting a healing conversation with a sad friend.

About the author:

Ms. Amarisa founded the Be a Bridge Condolences Project to help ease conversations with people who are sad about anything, by encouraging and educating their family, friends, and business associates about helpful condolences. https://www.beabridgecondolences.com
