Mission House is located in Redwood City, California, off Woodside Road. Its central Peninsula location provides patients and families with a comfortable alternative when receiving hospice care at home is not possible.
Every patient’s situation is different. Depending on their needs, patients may stay at Mission House for a few weeks to a few months. Shorter stays may also be available when caregivers need temporary respite.
Yes. Mission House is designed with the whole family in mind. Friends and family are welcome and encouraged to visit and spend time with their loved one, with common areas and gardens providing additional places to gather.
Each patient has a private room and bathroom with its own outside entrance. Room and board also includes meals, personal assistance, housekeeping, and other services designed to make the stay as comfortable as possible.
For most patients, the medical portion of hospice care is covered by insurance. Room and board is a separate daily expense. Donations and grants help Mission Hospice support patients who are unable to pay and provide care beyond what insurance reimburses.
