Becky Riemer, RN
Grew up: In Little Rock, Arkansas. I relocated to San Francisco in the 80’s, and have lived in Half Moon Bay the past 30 years.
Joined Mission Hospice: I began as a volunteer in 2016; then joined the staff. I was originally an Admissions RN, then an Outreach Liaison, and now am Admission Manager.
Why I came to Mission Hospice: I wanted to reset my priorities to focus on meaningful work. Mission Hospice has a reputation as a local non-for-profit that supports diversity.
Mission Hospice in three words: Heart, Community, Presence.
Passions: I love to travel and spend time with my family.
Reading: Elena Ferrante’s “The Neopolitan Novels”
Desert island album: I can’t narrow down my love of music, but I can confess that singing along with Etta James or Bonnie Raitt is therapeutic.
Favorite food: Comfort food
Favorite movie: I appreciate stories of courage such as ‘The Color Purple.”
On my bucket list: Continue to live life fully and remember to be grateful.
