An award-winning nurse and end-of-life educator, Barbara was honored by the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization in 2018 as a Hospice Innovator. In 2015, she was named International Humanitarian Woman of the Year by the World Humanitarian Awards. Barbara’s book about dying and the last weeks of life, The Little Blue Book, has been used by hospice providers everywhere.
