Mission Hospice & Home Care |
Our Direct Care Volunteers provide vitally important emotional and social support to our patients and their families. Whether it’s reading a book, running an errand, taking a short walk or listening to stories about grandchildren and days of old, your friendship will make a very special difference in the lives of your patients and their families. Your hours are flexible depending on the needs of your family and your own schedule. To get you started, Mission Hospice & Home Care will provide you with 20 hours of training to prepare you for visiting patients and we also provide mentoring from our community of experienced volunteers. You will never be asked to do anything beyond your emotional or physical capabilities.
If you're interested in becoming a Direct Care Volunteer, please take a moment to download and complete the Volunteer Application here. You are also welcome to attend a New Direct Care Volunteer Informational Meeting. For more information, please contact our Volunteer Coordinator, Hank Nourse at (650) 554-1000. |
