On Sunday, January 31, Mission Hospice supporters gathered at the Peninsula Golf and Country Club to celebrate the organization's 31 years of service to the community and to honor the following award winners: Bob Sawyer (Lotus Award), Karri Kaiser (Special Recognition Award) and Adella Harris Feinberg (Honorary Lifetime Board Membership).

Mission Hospice Auxiliary Prospective Member Cocktail Party- January 15, 6:00-8:00pm
The purpose of our Auxiliary is to raise funds and promote increased awareness of the services provided by Mission Hospice. Oktoberfest in Drydock - October 9, 6:30-11:00pm
Mission Hospice supporters enjoyed a traditional Oktoberfest buffet catered by Dana, hosted bar, live auction and special drawing, plus live music by Full Circle. All proceeds benefit those patients who cannot afford hospice care.

"Voices of Hospice" - October 10, 7:00pm
In celebration of hospice care around the world, Mission Hospice hosted its first "Voices of Hospice" concert at St. James A.M.E. Zion Church in San Mateo. Photos coming soon.
Summer Forum - June 11, 5:30-8:30pm
Betsy Carpenter, volunteer educator and counselor for advance care, spoke at Mission Hospice's summer forum on inter-generational end-of-life issues.

Soul Stroll for Health Walk - Saturday, May 16, 2009, 10am to 1pm
For the fourth year Mission Hospice hosted an information table at the Soul Stroll for Health Walk. One-, three-, and five-mile courses were marked along the beautiful bay front path in San Mateo’s Coyote Point Park. Silicon Valley Open Studio Benefit Event, Frances Freyberg Photography - Saturday, May 16, 2009 and Sunday, May 17, 11am to 5pm
Frances Freyberg, Mission Hospice Director of Development and travel photographer, hosted a Silicon Valley Open Studio weekend to benefit Mission Hospice.
